Becoming a Melbourne Show Jumping Club member

The main aim of MSJC is:

To develop an environment in which riders can train to be competitive at world standards.
Provide Training and education for riders, course builders and judges.
Provide Equipment to supply to shows to enable modern competition
Run shows to encourage riders and set a standard.

MSJC membership provides you with access to great coaches via our training days and clinics - of which we run approx. 10-12 per year. It will also provide you to early entry codes to our shows (provided that you have fulfilled your volunteering duties).

Mandatory Ambulance Cost Acknowledgement

⚠️ WARNING: The club reserves the right to call an ambulance for any incident deemed necessary for rider safety. All emergency services and ambulance transport costs incurred are the sole financial responsibility of the rider, parent, or guardian, regardless of the applicant's ambulance cover status.

Photo & Media Consent

I consent to the club using photographs or video footage of listed riders taken during club events, clinics, and competitions for promotional materials, the club website, and social media channels.

I do not consent to the use of images or videos for promotional purposes.

2026/2027 Membership Form: Terms and Declarations

1. Liability Waiver

By taking part in horse riding activities, I/we acknowledge and agree to the following:

Horse riding is a dangerous activity, and horses can behave unpredictably, which may result in serious injury or death.

I/we:

take part voluntarily and accept responsibility for my/our own safety, as well as for my/our horse and property.
will not consume alcohol or illegal drugs before or during club events.
will follow all directions from club officials and staff.
will wear an approved helmet in accordance with EA and FEI safety rules.

2. Membership and Volunteer Agreement

As part of my/our membership, I/we:

agree to follow all club rules, arena safety requirements, and showjumping ground regulations. I/we confirm that my/our insurance is current and suitable for participation.
will complete at least one day of volunteer service at an MSJC event during the membership year.
will assist with event duties, including rail pick-up, set-up, or pack-up, when attending Club Training Days.
consent to receiving emails from Melbourne Showjumping Club about events, club news, and sponsors.

3. Parent / Guardian Consent (For Members Under 18)

I/we are the parent or legal guardian of the member named above. I/we have read and understood these terms and give permission for the member to take part in horse riding activities.
